Code keyer kits
Yes… I know, I’ve really delved into some pretty complex build from scratch ideas in a short time here. I guess, in looking at amateur radio, I’ve seen the $$ signs add up for the equipment I’m interested in and have started looking at what other options are out there. Kit building is one, and building from scratch is the other. Even used equipment can command pretty pricey sums if you’re looking at HF operations. (Small local handhelds can be around $100), but for HF… usually several hundred is the STARTING point for assembled stuff. Some of the kits/homebrew ideas I’ve linked lately are real cheap (under $50), but there are other choices there too….
This morse super keyer looks nice. It’s available from idiompress.com and kits range from ~$50 to ~$150 and up there. It seems somewhat sad that there aren’t as few kit sources these days as there once were. But, there are still sources out there….
