Blue Ridge ARC
In the western part of the state of North Carolina, there’s also the Blue Ridge Amateur Radio Club out and about covering mostly the Henderson County area (NC). They seem to have an active group with a monthly newsletter online which can give an insight into the groups activities.
They also have a good page of Local nets and activities which can be a good frequency/time reference for what’s going on in the airwaves in the local area (local to Hendersonville/Asheville, NC) They also have a link to the Henderson County ARES which is fairly active.
